Jon, did you know that Dogmeat was meant to travel with you and a separate companion for quite a while during development? It was so late in development that this was changed that all the dialogue you can have while traveling with said 2 followers is still in place and can be experienced. This is more extreme, but Automatron never included eyebots and I miss Ed-E.Д®veryone's Best Friend.

If I may since the prospect has been brought up, this is what I would recommend for you when it comes to mods based off what I know. It improves minor elements while hurting the quality of the whole. I'd go ahead and call this release a bad move. They may have decided to do this because of the success of the Skyrim special edition, but the difference there is that most of those textures and models were actually improved, to bring them all up to the same level of quality, and maintain overall cohesion. That's why there's such a disparity, many of the textures were never created in such high quality to begin with, so upping their resolution does nothing to their quality. This pack just contains many of the compressed ones in their full, original state. I assume that when the game was developed, many textures that were drawn at a high level of detail were saved at a lower resolution to match textures they would be seen alongside, in order to give everything a feeling of verisimilitude, and to save on disk space. I believe this is simply Bethesda releasing them in their original state. I think Jon's a little mistaken when he assumes that the new, higher resolution textures have been 'redone'.
